Light a Candle
Mr. Benjamin Albert Ernest James Bowling (Bennie), son of the late Howard Lee Bowling Jr. and Mildred James Bowling, was born on June 28, 1959 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He attended IPS #71, #56 and John Marshall High School in the Indianapolis Public Schools. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, loved music and was an excellent and gifted automobile repairman. He worked at Stokely Van Camp for 10 years during the 70's and 80's. He was a beloved brother, son, nephew, uncle and cousin to many who loved him. He departed this life after a long illness on December 22, 2019. He was preceded in death by his cherished mother, father and sister Angela Marie Christine Bowling. He is survived by his older brother Howard Lee (Mighty Mouse) Bowling III. He is also survived by his mother's sisters aunts Sheila Lilliard and Sondra Hayes Hartman, and his father's siblings Shirley Wallace, Bessie Johnson, Jacqueline Green, Marlene Martin and Don Bowling. He was a beloved uncle to Jasmine Greene, Jadee Scarver, Howard Greene, Julius Greene, Joshua Greene, Shara Bowling, James Johnson-Beverly and Jermaine Beverly. He will also be missed by first cousins Jolie Dalton, David Eubanks, Anthony Cole, Patricia Roney, Dondra Ewing, Adela Grady, Steve Grady, Eric Grady, Theo Green, Kymm Rollins-Koustik and Derrick Tinder, along with a host of devoted cousins, great nieces, great nephews and friends. His service will be held at Stuart Mortuary on January 16, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
